Smalley Family Connections

This site deals with the Smalley family. The name has been recorded as Smalley and Smaley We have only a slight traceable connection to East Leake, Nottinghamshire through my great grandmother, Hannah Smalley who married David Ogilvie from Scotland in 1875. David was a tailor and Hannah appeared to move from her birthplace at East Leake to Scotland, London and back to Scotland again. The assumptions concerning Hannah's movements are based on her place of marriage and where her children were born.

Hannah's parents were shown on her wedding certificate as George Smalley and Hannah Braidburgh.

We do not know of any links to the United States of America at present. However, we are interested in hearing from anyone with information no matter how trivial it may seem to you - we may be connected but just don't know it!
